Great to see the MRA club, once again
run another great event with the Port Vincent Stadium Cross held in
August. With huge numbers, great track and a very welcoming
town, it had all the ingredients for a sensational two-day event. The
only downsides were the amount of injuries and time lost due to
those injuries, but that's our sport and sometimes it happens. But all in
all, the reports were nothing but great. Hopefully, this will
continue on to become a yearly event and give the riders something
to look forward too. . Some of the riders who impressed
again were Ivan Long winning his class and the all powers: Sam Morton
who continues to improve and really had a great couple of days winning the
B grade class —hopefully this is a rider who will step up to A grade
next year and may just surprise quite a few people; Luke Feltrin took out
the C grade, and with all the usual stars in the juniors ruling the roost
like Damon Hill 1st in the U13—U16;Kurt Waterman 1st in the 85cc B/W
U12—U16,while in the 85cc S/W Josh Watson won. One kid who continues to
improve and it won't be long before he starts winning is Luke Cirelli. Got
to give a shout out to Aaryn Minerds as we have both been travelling to
the MX National series this year we have spent a fair amount of time
together and it was great to see him get a 3rd for the C grade Open class:
the guy loves all things bikes. In the 50cc class these little guys are
our future. First place was Ryle Kusterman, in second place Harry Newbold
and in third place Max Price: good job. For full results get on to www.motorcyclingsa.org.au.
